ABOUT THE IIA
Established in 1941, The IIA is an international professional association with global headquarters in Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA.
The IIA is the internal audit profession’s global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.
- IIA Mauritius was created in October 2009 and became a full fledge institute in July 2012.
- IIA Mauritius is affiliated with IIA Global.
- IIA Mauritius has around 200+ members, working both in the private and public sector.
- To be the local voice of Internal Auditors in Mauritius.
- To advocate for the profession.
- To provide training and networking opportunities to our members.
- To work with other institutions for the advancement of internal control, internal audit, risk management and governance.
- Workshop/networking sessions with an international speaker on a yearly basis.
- Assisting members in procuring Qualification material.
- Promote IIA Global certifications among members and assist with respect to examinations.
- Share IIA global and other relevant materials with members.
- Attend to members queries with respect to IIA qualifications and examinations.
