Valéry Modeste-Jacob is the Co-Founder and Partner of Axcilia, a professional services firm specialising in accounting, tax, internal audit and advisory. She brings over 19 years’ experience spanning internal audit, risk management, governance, tax and accounting across local and multinational environments.

A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), she built her career with EY and now mearly 10 years leading Axcilia, advising boards, audit committees, and senior management on audit, compliance, fraud risk, internal controls, and financial governance. Additionally, Valéry holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance.

Valéry has led numerous high-profile assignments in more than 15 countries, working across more than 20 sectors —demonstrating a strong global and regional footprint, particularly across Africa and emerging markets.

A passionate advocate for the profession, Valéry has served in multiple leadership roles within Institute of Internal Auditors Mauritius. As President of IIA Mauritius, she brings a powerful blend of technical depth, strategic leadership, and international exposure, with a clear vision to elevate the impact, credibility, and future relevance of the internal audit profession.
